A Species Who Lies in Wait
We stretch, we wait
We wait and anticipate, when the next meal will stroll
along
For as we belong to a particular species; who lies in
wait
We anticipate soon, the meal will arrive
And we will start to thrive once again
Webs
For we the Spiders of the Land want you to understand, the
webs we create, are to help us anticipate, what will come next
You may be perplexed as to how we know, where to go
The Spiral should show you
Golden Rule
For we the Spiders of the Land want you to understand, we
follow the Golden Rule
As in we spin a spool full of thread
And we are led by no one, other than our Ancestors
For we the Spiders of the Land want you to understand, it
has been through trial and error
For the wind that brushes through your hair, shares its
presence with us
The raindrops that dampen your skin and cool you off, we
are here to say to you, each droplet settles down
And it creates a crown, where it lands upon the web
As the sun comes out, the crown glistens
Vibration
We listen, we wait, we anticipate, and soon, we hear and
feel that telltale vibration
Someone has been curious, someone has been careless
And now my dears, we want to make perfectly clear, we want
to enact a role or two
As we move to our prey, by this time of day, they have
stopped wriggling
And they accept the consequences
Spin we do
Until of course, we have what we might refer to as a
cushion
The web helps to hold together, the web helps to define
And the web also helps to, define where the shape is
Grace Other Habitats
We the Spiders of the Land want you to understand, our
web is but one way
We do more than just stay put in one place
For we grace other habitats, as well
Some of you, are privy to watching us outdoors and you’re
fine with that
But to refine that statement further, once we enter the Zone
you feel we do not belong in, our life becomes more precarious, so to
speak
We attempt to creep into the corners and stay put
For we hope you are not observant, we hope you do not
notice
Stock Still
For we prefer to either move quickly out of sight or
remain stock still
Therefore, my dears let’s be clear, the height above your
head, the corners we prefer
And then of course, some of us choose to, remain below
the ground
Some of us choose to, fling from tree to tree
But there you see, like many other species, we are
individualistic
As in we have preferences, we have likes and dislikes
Therefore, my dears if we appear to have landed on your
shoulder, that is not purposeful, that is an accident
If you have walked through our web, that is not our
intent
Allow
But so that your life has not been spent in a wasteful
fashion, we suggest to you, instead of wiping off that web immediately, allow
it to settle, allow it to stay
And upon this day, you will begin to learn, what we yearn
for
And that is a sticky, stretchy, strong, substance
The three S’s, you heard it
We Are Around
Some of us stay in the shadows and blend in due to our
colouration, gray, black, or brown
Some of us remain among the stalks of the blades of grass
And we on the other hand, like to stand out
Some of us carry several hues
Some of us are huge, some of us are tiny
Some of us are hairy, some of us are smooth
Some of us inflict a nasty bite, some of us inflict a pin
prick, a gentle reminder
We the Spiders of the Land want you to understand, we have
nothing against you, we just like to remind you that we are around
We Ignore You Not
We know you are around, by your very sound, by your very
scent, by your very vibration
Therefore, my dears we the Spiders of the Land want you to
understand, we know you are there, we ignore you not
But we are here to say to you, you are not our main
focus, it’s true
For you are too big to be our prey
Bow
Like our prey all wrapped up with a bow, we are here
to say to you, our little ones also are all wrapped up with a bow, but this
bow is different and so is the thread
And this thread is not meant to dread, but yet to proceed to
allow nutrients to come through
Now some of us live upon the Water, some of us live upon
the Land
And we want you to understand, it’s just preference of
course
Hang Around and Observe
Some of us have short legs, some of us have long
Some of us are more patient, than the other
And if you want to discover which one, hang around and
observe
We could tell you a thing or two, but what’s the fun in
that
You too have a role to play
And we are here to say, if you want to get to know us better,
hang around give yourself time
Yes, my dears, we want to make it perfectly clear, time
is what you need
And if you want to proceed with using that time to its
best advantage
Do Not Move
Choose one site and do not move
For the lack of movement, will help to improve your
chance of seeing much
For your touch is everywhere, we know where you stay
So, stay put, do not move
Do you see us now, do you know we’re there
We will share this space with you
Especially if you, stay still
For we will too
Scientific Bent
Now many of you, who carry the Scientific Bent with you,
would like to learn more
You my dears let’s be clear, if you are willing to stay put,
for hours on end
We will send through information to you, that will be
useful to you
For we are a species that has learned to adapt
And you too as a human species, will need to learn to
adapt
Adaptation
Now many species of the Land want you Humans to understand,
the stories we have been sharing with you, is a about just that
adaptation
Now many of you prefer to be in the comfort of your own
homes, away from the elements
We on the other hand tend to live in the Discomfort Zone
So, we have no choice, we must learn to adapt
Connect With the Land
You too, although you think you have it all together, we
the Spiders of the Land want you to understand, you need to reconnect with the
Land, to understand how you must adapt
For the Land will teach you, so will the Animal Species
For the Land and the Animal Species, have been preparing
for some time
If you are to think that you are the only one, who might
think of how to adapt, think again
For those of us who are not a part of the Human Form, we
have carried this storm with us, for some time now
Change
Day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year,
century by century, we have seen the change, we have changed with the change
Have we had to rearrange our lives, yes
Have we had to change
our habitats, yes
Have we had to move,
yes
Have we had to change
our practices
Have we had to change
our prey
Name of the Game
Yes, my dears we the Spiders of the Land want you to
understand, Adaptation is the name of the game
But if you are blinded to the messages the Land keeps
sending through to you, because of where you live, because of how you live
We the Spiders of the Land want to give you some advice,
think twice if you prefer to stay indoors all the time
For we the Spiders of the Land and the Waters, are inclined
to say to you, you have much to learn
Teachers
We are willing teachers, standing by the wayside
Once you realize you can no longer hide, from what is
coming your way, we are here to say, take the time, we are inclined to be
around
Adaptation, adaptation, adaptation, adaptation,
adaptation, adaptation, adaptation, adaptation, adaptation (sung to a slow
beat)
Outside
Quiet your mind and sit outside
What do you hear, what do you smell, what do you taste, what
do you sense, whose presence do you feel
We the Spiders of the Land want you to understand, this
quieting your mind, while you’re outside, is necessary
For although the Tune of Nature revolves, and
vibrates, you on the other hand, are part of a different Land
For many of you are in your Head
Or you are led by your desires, you are led by your
preferences
We the Spiders of the Land and the Waters want you to
understand, these quiet moments are necessary for you to understand, for what
you don’t want to hear, let’s make it perfectly clear, is total silence
Silence
For if you hear total silence it would appear, change has
happened and you are not even aware of it
We the Spiders of the Land want you to understand, there is much
more to sight than your immediate sight, there is much more to hearing than
your immediate hearing, there is much more to taste than your immediate taste,
there is much more to senses than to your immediate senses, there is much more
to your knowledge base than the knowledge base you have been taught
For we the Spiders of the Land and the Waters want you to
understand, many of you as in all of you, came to this Land bearing gifts
Now not all of you see those gifts as pleasant, see those
gifts as rewarding
But we the Spiders of the Land want you to understand,
there is much learning in each gift
Gifts
Now some of you see your gift as a handicap, to you
For the gift does not allow you to see what other see, to
hear what others hear, to know what others know, etc. you get the idea
Now some of you would see blindness as a handicap, others
would not
There are times that gifts are presented to you to
allow you, to see a different way
Some of you do not carry all the appendages others do, and
you also see that as a handicap
But my dears we the Spiders of the Land want you to
understand, each one of these gifts are sent to you purposefully
For instead of seeing them as misfortune, what lessons
can you learn
So, as you Human Folk churn those thoughts around in your
head, some of you feel you are bleeding from your eyes, some of you feel your
throat is dry, some of you feel your nose continues to run, some of you feel
your hair starts to fall out
Opportunity
We the Spiders of the Land are here to shout to you, see
each of those happenings of sorts, as an opportunity to solve a problem
or two
And because you have solved that problem or two, we the
Spiders of the Land want you to understand, you have much to share with
another
For you will discover there are many people who are not like
you, but some are
And you my dear let’s be clear, can share with them a
thing or two
A Ribbon
Now some of you see visions, some of you see dreams
Some of you hear voices, some of you make particular choices
Some of you feel driven, some of you follow a ribbon,
some you see breadcrumbs, some of you eat them along the way
Some of you just say today is not the day, I’m not up to
it
We the Spiders of the Land and the Waters want you to
understand, we’re patient, we’ll try again another day
And some of us just stay hanging around, some of us stay
stuck in place
Perspective
So, my dears we the Spiders of the Land and the Waters want
you to understand, each and every one of you when you enter the Earth, in
other words when you’re birthed, carry a gift or two
You may not see it as such, your parents may not see it as
such, but we know what it is
We often try to Light your way; we often try to close off
the shadows
But one person’s shadow is another person’s Light, and
another person’s Light is another person’s shadow, it’s all about
perspective
So, take a moment each and every day
And grace your life, with a chance to be outside
For hide no longer, inside your abode
For there is a load more learning, outside your walls
Callings
For we the Spiders of the Land want you to understand,
each species on Earth Calls to you
Yes, the Human Species too
Now those Callings you may not recognize, those Callings
you may not know
Some of them are loud, some of them are soft, some of them
are overt, some of them are subtle, some of them come in colours, some of them
come in shades, some of them come in music, some of them not, some them are
brought on a silver platter, some of them are dull and misty
We the Spiders of the Land want to suggest to you, get
outside in each and every season
And find a reason to be there, find something to focus on,
quiet your mind
And allow what ever needs to come through to you
Shoulds
Now many of you the concept of quieting your mind is not
something you’re familiar with because you are so used to having a busy
thought or two, what you should do, what you shouldn’t
Did you make the right decision or not
Were you taught to be productive, otherwise you’re lazy
No, we’re not crazy, we’ve heard these thoughts running
through you
Start to See Why
We the Spiders of the Land want you to understand, quieting
your mind is purposeful, once you start to practice you will see why
Now we the Spiders of the land want you to understand, we’re
not asking for a lot
We suggest to you to allot a short period of time each
and every day
And then let’s say you increase that time little by
little
And bit by bit you will notice a change
For within this reality you live in, you start to realize, there
are many more
But if you have not practiced this practice, if it is
foreign to you, you, are standing on the shores of disbelief
So, take a new leaf out of your book and try something
new
Medicine
For it will be good for you
Some of you see medicine as coming from someone else
But we the Spiders of the Land and the Water are here to say
to you, this practice this purpose, is what we would refer to as Good
Medicine for all of you, good medicine for all of you, good medicine for all of
you (sung to a slow beat)
You Are Not Alone
Listen to the Silence, listen to the Beat
Listen to the Songs, listen to the flutter
Smell the aromas, like melted butter
Feel the brush of a feather across your brow
Feel the insects on you, any how
Listen to the wind, hear her call
Stall no longer, get out in the rain
Just the same when the snowflakes fall, be there too
When you’re by a stream listen to it gurgle, listen to it
burp
When you sit on a slab of stone, feel the heat rising up,
know you’re not alone
When you sit on a stone cold as ice, feel it slice
through your layers
When the wind is raw, be there too
For it too has a message for you
Natural Teachings
There are so many natural teachings available to you
All you need to do is, be there
And leave your mind behind, let those thoughts fall away
For when you are here each and every day, you will start to
understand what messages are being said
from the Land
You need to know this do you understand
Peace be with you
We hope you take a moment or two and reflect on this
That’s it a moment or two
