Her Skin is Thin
Listen to the Spirit of the Drum as she sounds out her
words
You all need to listen carefully
For her skin is thin
She gets upset easily
But within that
skin, within that thin skin
There is much going on inside
Clear Messages
For many have confided their feelings in the drum
For as the hum of the drum, sends vibrations out
The drummer also sends through clear messages to her
For although many times our emotions feel like a blur
She takes up each one
And in taking up each one she feels the sadness and
this pulls her down
The Clown
But on the other hand, she also feels the clown, she also
feels the joy
And this clown, this joy, she will employ
As this clown, this joy, she will send out to others
Now the sadness expressed does not come as an excess
to her not at all
For it would occur that the drum spirit needs moisture
now and then
For the moisture helps to put out the fire within
Feel Your Pain
Therefore, all you drummers out there who need to express
your sorrow, need to express your pain
You my sons and my daughters and those in between are taking
your pain through the right lane
For the Spirit of the Drum (a loon Call) feels
your pain
But the Spirit of the Drum (a Loon Call) won’t let
you remain in pain, but rather
would put that moisture to good use
Therefore, my dears let those juices flow, cry a tear
Help With Your Tomorrows
For the Drum Spirit is here for you
The Drum Spirit is here to receive
And then the Drum Spirit is here also to let go
Show your pain, show your sorrow
For the Drum Spirit will help you with your tomorrows
Tears Made Use Of
Let your tears fall on the drum skin
For she will absorb it in
And therefore, it will be not only absorbed, but made use
of
Therefore, if you have hidden things for too long
Let the Drum Spirit hear your Song of Sorrow
For she will be on track
To give back
A True Drum Absorbs More
Therefore, those of you who do not have a drum
You can pick up one, it does not have to be officially a
drum,
but a drum absorbs more, a true drum absorbs more
Therefore, at the door of not having your own drum this
might be something you might want to
Strum your fingers over, bang with your hand
And you may find that you will land in a land of joy,
land in a land of lifted spirits
And if you want to join forces with another you will
discover the energy that is sent through is twofold
Your Heart
Therefore, you might discover that the Drum Spirit is
actually within all of you
Yes, my dears the Drum Spirit is your heart
And it is so important to let your heart out
As in allow those tears to flow, show how you feel
And from that experience you will find you start to grow
Steeped
Grow in a way that you had not expected
For when you carry your sadness deep
You become steeped in it
You know like a bag in the tea
The longer you steep, the deeper it becomes
Therefore, my dears sing a Song of Sorrow and then replace
it with a Song of Joy
Sounds That Come to Mind
Now many of you may say I don’t know a Song of Sorrow, I don’t
know a Song of Joy
Well, my dears we are suggesting to you that you just employ
your imagination
As in just use sounds that come to mind and let it
go, let it flow
For my dears it will flow, it will go, if you allow it
Start Out Small
Now for those of you who still feel kind of sad, kind of
blue
What we are suggesting to you is start out small
We are not calling to you to make a tall song
We are calling to you to make a miniature one
Start from where you can
Rejoice
And if you are like most start in a place of quiet, start
in a place of peace
And then when you gain further courage, when you gain further
voice
Take that choice outside
And no longer hide the rejoicing that you feel
Sing it out with zeal
(I was drawn to walk into the lake playing the drum and
singing out a Song of Rejoicing)
(Just above the lake close to shore I could see many dancing Shad Flies or what appeared to be fairies)
(A Loon slowly swam toward me until it was
at a comfortable distance; there was no evidence of fear just
curiosity)
(The surface of the water was flat except for ripples moving out from me as
the vibration flowed through my body)
(The occasional drop of water from the trees fell to the
surface of the lake)
