It Bullets Below
We the Spirits of the Land want you to understand, we live
in the Light, we live in the Dark
And we are here to impart knowledges to you
As Feathered Ones comes by, we spy its flight pattern
It soars above, it bullets below
And we are here to show you, a thing or two
This bird a raptor of sorts, joins its cohorts at the top
of a tree
And then you see, look down below the surface the lake
Deep Dive
And you too will undertake a deep dive
Your wings will tuck in, your head straight forward
You see it within an instant, and then it’s gone
You touch the waters, you carry your prize
Sing
It should come as no surprise, we the Ospreys of the Air,
we the Ospreys of the Waters, sing to you
We sing across Mother Earth, we sing across her watery
film
And that film is ever changing
For what lies beneath the surface, is a meal in the ready
Unpredictable
We the Ospreys of the Land want you to understand, we
spiral upwards, we fly straight down
But when you humans are around, we curve to the left,
curve to the right
For your sight is unpredictable, your sight is not always
known
For you have shown great care, you have shown some
animosity
We Will Be Around
Therefore, we the Ospreys of the Land want you to understand,
we try to understand you, we try to understand your ways
But we are here to say, we will be around high above, we will
around in the middle, we will be around close to the waters edge, we will be
around
You do not always recognize us from our sound or our
shape
For you anticipate what is flying through the air, and
you do not always pair our species, with our shape and our flight
In spite of your ability to gain great knowledges, you do
not always see us, for who we are
Parallel Life
We the Ospreys of the Land want you all to understand, we
like you have a role to play
And we are here to say we will do just that
We will live a parallel life to yours
As in we will live our lives as we always do
But how you live your life, sometimes interferes with us
The Interested One
As you get off the bus and you look skyward, for you
recognize our call, we are here to say to you, we recognize who you are
For you are the interested one, you are the one who cares
For you have climbed many stairs in your knowledge base
As you attempt to trace our lives as we live them
You Care
We the Ospreys of the Land want you to understand, we can
learn from you too
As you cast your rod and wait, we too attempt to
anticipate the timing of your catch
Will you keep what you catch or will you let it go
Is this your way of showing you care
Or do you just declare, the price is not worth the effort
An Order
Spiral, spiral, spiral in the air, we the Ospreys
declare, the knowledges that you keep, spin round and round
They do not carry a sound, they carry a presence, they
carry an order
For you build upon them, they ebb, they flow
They do not go, they remain
But just the same they do not always present themselves
as such
Both Realities
We the Ospreys of the Land want you to understand, we are
in touch with the Earth, we are in touch with the Waters
We see both realities
What we ask of you is do you too see those as separate
realities, or do you see them as one in the same
A Speck
The Web of Life offers her services
We the Ospreys of the Land want you to understand, our nests
are of the Land, they are carefully made and carefully displayed
Rise up my dears, climb upon our backs
Track where we go
We rise up
We look to the distant horizon, we see the tips of the
trees
We keep lifting, lifting, lifting some more
Before long we remain a speck from the Earth
That speck carves a path
Down, down, down
We are almost at the ground, we’re over the surface of
the waters
We see our prey, perhaps we will be lucky today
Up we rise again and land securely on a branch up above
We Watch for the Movement
We the Ospreys of the Land, send down our love
We wait, we watch
We watch for a ripple, we watch for a movement
We listen, we focus
Our response time is immediate, as we lie in wait
You too can anticipate the expectation
Success our tummy is filled
Was it willed, was it by chance
That my dears, is all part of the dance
