We Interconnect
We the
Grasses of the Land want you to understand we have an important role to play
We stay
put, we travel along the ground
We
interconnect with our brothers and sister
For we the
Grasses of the Land want you to understand, we are part of a family, we are
part of the Land
And as part
of the Land, we grow to spread our roots, lift our shoots up
We spread
our roots through multiple types of soil or no soil at all
We Travel
For as we
crawl across the surface of the Land and delve our roots in deeper and
deeper still, we find we travel down a hill
We find
a crack within the rock
And as
we talk to the rock, particles break off
And each
and every year it would appear, minute particles are near
For we work
hand in hand to cover the Land with growth
We both
cover the Land and we both work to provide energetic sources for you and you
Restore
Some of
you want us for our beauty, some of you want us for our food
We the Grasses
of the Land want you to understand, we have an important role to play, for we
are here to say to you, as the wind howls as the rain pores, we attempt to
help to restore the Land you live upon, hold it tight within our grasp
We
recognize our seeds spread indiscriminately
As in we
tend to land almost anywhere, everywhere
And some of
you declare where did that seed come from, why is it in the middle of my
garden
Stay Put
We the
Grasses of the Land want you to understand, we have an important role to play
And our
role is to allow the soil to stay put
There is
many a day that soil wants to lift, there is many a day that soil wants to
drain away, but we are here to say not today
We are to
say to the soil, you need to stay
You need to
stay to allow them to eat another day
Vibration
The
Grasses of the Land cover the sand, cover the clay, cover a mixture of the two,
anyway
Some of us,
hold our roots deep within the Land, some of us spread our roots lightly across
the Land, some of us hold our roots split between the rock, some of us hold our
roots as you sit and talk
We hear
the vibration that you call you
For
although to some of you see our hue is consistent, we might disagree
Some of us
are a forest green, some of us are a yellow green, some of us are just plain
yellow, some of us are just plain brown
Not all the
Same
But we are
a mixture to have around, for we the Grasses of the Land want you to
understand, we are not all the same
We each
have our own peculiarities, we each have our own character
We the
Grasses of the Land want you to understand, we allow species to walk through
us, many of them use us as a camouflage
We try to
reach great height; we are flexible yet strong
We have
been flattened and yet we continue to move along
Some of
us are sharp, some of us are flat
Some of
us blow in the wind in patterned like waves
Some of us
allow you to pave the way
And as you
pave the way, indents that are left show evidence of you there
Insects
Wait
We would
like to declare between our blades, insects wait
They
anticipate the vibration coming their way
They hope
to say there is their chance
Some use
our blades to cascade their webs upon
Wave in
the Wind
Some of
you cut us short, some of you cut us long
Some of you
allow us to wave in the wind
Some of you
use us to provide food for your store of animals
Who choose
to walk among us chomp at their hearts content
And once
all of our leaves have been bent to the ground, they move on
Rejoice
Each
blade will sing a song of rejoice
For once
the animals have left once the pressure upon the ground is no longer around, we
can sing a different sound we can rise up once again
As the
animals leave their treasures they are like gold to us
Certain
bird species use us as a place to nest
Some of you
will protest that among us, among our blades, are blades in the waiting to
strike
For if you
walk through the tall grass, you just might come upon a certain bite
Remake the
Soil
We the
Grasses of the Land want you to understand, we all have a role to play
What’s most
important is for all Grasses of the Land want you to understand we give, we
take
And when
you run a rake through our blades, we help to remake the soil
As we
break down one particle after another, we add to the soil, we hold on to
Work Together
We the Grasses
of the Land want you to understand, we work together the weak and the strong
We help
all to belong
Some of
us are twisted, some of us are straight
But we
all relate no matter what
As you
skate your fingers across our tip, tip, tops, we would like to have a talk with
you
Each of
our species has something to do
But we
remind you our primary role, our primary goal, is to help to hold the ground
together, hold the soil in place
Wasteland
For without
our presence, many an area would be a wasteland
Some of you
might call that as a desert, some of you might call that as a waste
All we the
Grasses of the Land want you to understand, we need a taste of Water once in
a while
But we are
to suggest to you, if that is beyond what you are capable of being able to do,
we will go into sleep mode
As in our
blade will change from green to yellow to brown and we will wait around
When the
time is right, we are more likely to strike a new hue
For we
like you, look forward to the green
Pristine
For we find
that colour truly pristine
It puts
us in a good place, it puts us in a good mind of minds
So, we are
inclined to wait on you
Now some of
you have years it would appear where too much water comes through
And we are
here to say to you, we will try to do our job for you
But we are
also here to say to you, some days we cannot do our best
For we
attest the Water is too strong we can’t hold on that long
Conserve
our Energy
But we the Blades
of the Land want you to understand, we conserve our energy, we release it a
bit at a time
But we are
also inclined to say to you, there are warning signs that do come through
And we are
also here to say to you, we know of those warning signs long before you do
So, what we
suggest to you is look at all the signs be aware, be aware, be aware
For climbing
up that stair of knowledge is above the ground and below
And if we
were to show you all of what you need to do, you need to look at both sides
now
All Fine
Many of
you will look at the surface and say it’s all fine
But we are
here to suggest to you, you need to look below
For greater
evidence, will show change is coming
It is
better to be prepared, than to be suddenly to be scared
Prepare
We the
Grasses of the Land want you to understand, prepare, prepare, prepare
As you look
at the Air, as you look at the Ground, as you look at the Water, as look at the
Birds all round, as you look at the Insects, as you look at the Beetles, as you
look at the Worms, as you look at all the creatures crawling across the
ground and below the ground, they each hear the same sound
And this
same sound, is what is coming your way
So, we
suggest to each and every one of thee, look at the signs not on the side of
a building
Sight
Look at the
Trees, look at signs of disease, look at the Grasses, look at the wilt
Look at the
number of Birds you used to see, look at the number of birds you now see
Look at the
new growth or lack there of
Nature tells
all if you are ready to listen to the Call
So, look
to the Grasses they have much to tell thee
But in
order to do so, you need to stop and change your present reality
For to
engage in a reality change you need to take the time to refine your
listening sight
As well as
your touch sight
As well as
your recording of what you see
Pattern
For
there is a pattern there don’t you see
In all
reality the message is out in the open
But if you
are to be a part of this reality and to be prepared not scared
Hold Your Hand
We the
Grasses of the Land can help you hold you by the hand, and engage with you
about what the Land has to tell you
Open
your eyes, open your ears, open your sense of touch
And my
dears you will learn ever so much
The
Grasses wait for your answer, the Grasses wait for your response
