Be the Kind to Respect the Sea

 We Also Rise Above

We the Belugas of the Seas want you to see, what we see

For we see deep in the sea, we see deep down below

But we want you to know, we also rise above

It is the sinking and the rising, that brings out the best in us

Survival

For as we feed, we grow

And then of course, we show ourselves to you

We feed for the purpose of sustainability, we feed for the purpose of survival

Your Evidence is Everywhere

But upon your arrival things have changed much

Your evidence is everywhere

It is in the ocean, it is in the air, it is on the seas, if you please

If we had knees, we would bow before thee, and ask

Could you please, pleased, please stay out of our vicinity

For if we are to spell it out more succinctly than this, for us to persist, we need an ebb and a flow

But as far as you go, you are present all the time

Wider Berth

All we ask of you, is to be inclined to give us a wider berth

We are here to say to each and every one of you, we display ourselves for several reasons

One reason is to reach the point of air

Another is to sacrifice ourselves, so others can eat

But in order for this to meet our expectations, the sacrifice needs to be reciprocal

Giving Back

We the Belugas of the Sea want all of you to see, what are you giving back, what are you taking away

Is it your day to think about that

For we the Belugas of the Sea do not want to see your presence everywhere

For when your presence alights everywhere, it does not belong

Our Song

Our Song of Being is heard, for miles and miles

We smile, when we hear the Song of Being of another

But we the Belugas of the Seas are here to say to each and everyone of you, those other Songs of Beings are becoming fewer and fewer, they are distorted by your sounds

Quiet Your Sounds

Now we the Belugas of the Sea understand, all you are trying to do is feed thee, service thee

All we ask of thee, is to give us a wider berth

And if you are feeling gracious, if you are feeling plentiful, we also ask of thee, to quiet your sounds make yourself unknowable

For the Sea Choir looks forward to this day

For not a day goes by when underwater species try, to speak to each other without interruption

Yes, we realize you want to have a say, but in our world, there is a way

And at this present time your way cannot stay

It needs to find another way

Blending

When it comes to a chorus, it’s all about blending

There’s the ebb there’s the flow, there’s the deep voices, there’s the high notes, and then of course there’s the solo

Presently your voice is the loudest, it drowns out all

Your call is about speed

The churning of the waters, the churning of the seas

We ask you to please, quiet your churning

There must be another way

Above Below There is Much to Show

We see the brilliance in the sky

We see the magnificence down below

We would love to show you what there is

Above, below, there is so much to show

As habitats go, it is ever so varied

As well our message is carried far and wide

For it may surprise you to know, but we communicate across oceans, we communicate across seas

And you see, others recognize who we are

From the Star Fish below, to others fishes as well, including the Shell Fish

Receptive to Our Ear

We each have a song to sing

Now these songs we sing, you won’t all be able to hear

But they are clear, they are receptive to our ear

That is how we are attempting to suggest to you, the importance of our ears

For communication down below, is paramount to our survival

So let us sing unimpeded

You Belong in a Way of Speaking

We too recognize you from your ring, from your song

Yes, you belong in a way of speaking

But your Song is too loud, your song is too constant

So, soften it a little, let it be less

And that my dears, is what we would call, progress

 Shy Lot

As you look across the Oceans, as you look across the Seas, what do you see

You see the waves, you see the birds, and occasionally you might even observe us

We are shy lot, we do not surface often in your presence

Now many of you deny the sea it’s treasures

For you see the surface, you deny what’s down below

Interactions Are Many

We the Beluga’s of the Seas want you to be aware, we who live below the surface share much

We are in touch with each other so to speak, we know our place

The interactions are many

Your Plate

Now some of you see the Oceans as places for things to disappear

We are here to suggest to you they may disappear from your eyes, but don’t be surprised, if the don’t eventually end up upon your plate

We the Belugas of the Seas want you to be well aware that what you release, what you let go, that sinks down below, has a way of rising, has a way of coming back

As in you tend to attract what you sew

So, the next time you go, who’s goes to notice, the sea is so vast

We the Belugas of the Sea want you to see, just you wait

What you drop down below, could be on your plate

So, undertake that understanding, undertake that reason for knowing

For things have a way of showing up

The Doors

Consider our habitat, as we consider yours

For the ocean surface are the doors

But we see yours as well

For you shells that sit on the surface, you the shells that live upon the seas

We ask you to please, please, please respect our space

We have traced your coming, we have traced your way of being

We are seeing it expand across the land, we are seeing it expand across the seas, and we ask of each and everyone of thee

All we want is a bit of space, all we want is a bit of quiet

Is that so much to ask

So, consider that when you sit with your flask of coffee, when you sit with your flask of tea

Gentler Touch

We’re not asking for much, just a gentler touch

And for this we will thank you ever so much

A gentler touch

Peace be with you and all those you know

So go in peace, relax your mind

And be the kind to respect the sea

Respect it as though you live there

For that way, we can share with you
