The Mother Earth Clan

 Across the Divide

The Flight Patterns of many, spread far and wide

As they go across the divide, they see many species, traveling with them

For the call of Mother Earth, is loud and clear

It is through the sheer strength of our numbers, we do not find we need to slumber, the same as you

For let’s review, we have a voyage to undertake

And undertake it we do

Flight Companions

We see through the obstacles, we see through to the end

We send through a message, to each and every one of our Flight Companions

For when we fly in a V don’t you see, we share in our own realities

For as we fly in a V, we share the responsibility, so the leader is not the same, each and every day

For we work together, hierarchy aside

For we want the wind resistance, to slide off our wings

And as our wings sing in unison, we repeat the same continuous beat

Our numbers are many, our numbers are few

And if you seek to know us, you too will know when we are flying through

For our flight pattern is a Signature

Our Power

We the Canadian Geese of the Air would like to declare; we have started our journey, our plan is beginning to unravel

And as we travel miles, upon miles, upon miles, some of you smile, some of you grimace

For some of you see our gracefulness, some of you see our power

And then of course, there are those who see us upon a certain hour and say, Oh No

Here we go again, will they stay, or will they go

Only time will show

There is a Purpose

We the Canadian Geese of the Land want you to understand, when we show up, there is purpose, there is a time

In some of our cases, we are inclined to stay

For we did not get up upon that day, when the time was right, to take flight

Things happen, things get in the way

And we are here to say to you, we try to make the best of the situation, we have before us

Forgive us, for our entry into your scope

For we chose not to elope, when the time was right

And in spite of your grimaces, in spite of your, Oh Nos

We are here to say to you, we will eventually go, when our time is right

So instead of fighting us, instead of getting in our way, we are here to say to you, our stay will be short lived

Not Today

Like many of you, we too operate on an individual basis

And since we are not privy to the same hierarchy, that some of you live under, we are here to say when the day comes, when most take flight, some of us just might say, not today

We want to lay down our nesting here, where it’s comfortable

And by the way, some of us stay, for we like the cold, some of us stay, for we are more bold

Life Source

Some of you take a dim view of our presence, some of you lie in wait

For we create a Life Source for you

For those of you who hunt, for those of you who need us as a food source, we will gladly be there for you

For we know of your need, we know your heart bleeds

For we see thee, all of thee

Stand our Ground

Now some of us are daring, some of us are bold

Scold us not, for we will stand our ground

Especially if our little ones are around

For each Mother knows her place; each Father as well

Yes, we are mere shells of our Beingness

But the birth of a new one, allows us to continue

And continue we will

We See You Too

Some of you see us from the top of the hill, some of you see us from down below

We are here to let you know, we see you too

As we speak to each other, we know about you

And just so you are well aware, you are nothing new

Your ways are similar and yet different

Some of you watch, some of you praise

Some of you are totally amazed at our abilities, our ways of knowing

Some of you shake your heads in dismay

Some of you lay in wait, to anticipate the day we will fly by

Some of you look to the sky, some of you look at the ground

Some of you just listen, for the sound that approaches you

Drum

For that sound, that powerful wind beat, is like a treat, is like a drum

For that drum beat is part of the anticipation

For you anticipate, when we can be on your plate

Little Ones

Or you congregate together with the little ones

And you watch their eyes open wide

And you slide across a comment or two

There is the silence, there is the wonder

There is the tiptoe across the Land, how close can they get, do they truly understand

Keep Your Distance

As we stand on the Land, as we sit and nest, we make a request keep your distance, respect ours too

For we are very protective of our brood

And some days you might say, we are in a bit of a mood

We see your intent, we see your curiosity

If you come with respect in mind, we are the kind to understand that

If you come with harm in mind, we are the ones to reject that

If you come with anger in your heart, we are the ones who will choose to depart

If you are ones who come with Love in your heart, we are the ones who will embark on returning it many fold

As you see the fold in each wing, we sing our songs for you

We Know Our Role

As we flap our wings, as we lift to take flight, we might like to think our own thoughts, we might like to go somewhere else

But once the flock is established, we know our role

And we roll with it, so to speak

For as the seasons speak to each one of us, we prepare for the change, we prepare for the journey

When Moments Strike

Now many of you humans feel the change too, but in your case, most of you do not travel great distances at a certain time

You are more inclined to do that, when other moments strike

It’s not about the flight of the whole, it’s more about the flight of the individual

Survival

Unless of course the stress that comes to you, becomes too great, and you need to integrate into a new place for your own survival

And that is when your arrival may be known, or not

And that of course is when many of you are brought together, for a singular purpose, for a singular time

For you are inclined to think about the survival, not only of your survival, but the survival of your offspring

Migration

Now this movement this migration, is taking place everywhere

We share in the movement, we share in the time

But we the Geese of the Land want you to understand, when other humans see us, they don’t put up much of a fuss, they just see our journey as natural, they see our journey as a way that it has always been

You on the other hand your migration is different

Welcoming Arms

For where you go, not everyone will show welcoming arms

To some your movement causes alarm, to some your movement cause upset

We the Geese of the Land want you humans to understand, those humans that are moving, those humans that are migrating elsewhere, are here to declare to each and every one of you, share our Heart

Safety

We would love to remain at home, we would love to have a place to call home, we would love a place of safety, we would love a place of acceptance

For our journeys taken, are not taken lightly

We the Migrating Masses of the Land, want the rest of you humans to understand, there is purpose in our migration, there is safety in numbers

We do not wish to encumber you; we do not wish to make your lives less manageable

We wish to merely survive, we wish to merely give back

Fill Our Shoes

So instead of choosing to attack us, instead of choosing to hope we will go away, we are here to say to each and every one of you, take your body and fill our shoes

See what we see, see the calamities before us

See our desires, see our loves

See our love for family, see our love for a place to live

And most of all see our love for the need to give

Give to others who give us a chance

Rather New

Yes, we realize it is a different dance, you see before you

But let’s review, aren’t all of you rather new

Let’s review, the animal species were here before you

Aren’t you all rather new

Miss the Old

Do you remember those periods of newness, do you remember those periods of shyness, do you remember those periods of I hope they like us, do you remember those periods of oh this is so new, I miss the old

Do you remember the days, where you wanted to display, who you are, what you stand for

Do you remember the days you wanted to display, your love of music, your love of art

You wanted to start to sing, sing like everybody knew what you were saying

You wanted to start to paint, like everybody knew what you were painting

You wanted to dance, like everyone knew what you were dancing

You wanted to eat food, that everybody recognized as delicious

Mouths to Feed

Yes, my dears we the Geese of the Land want you to understand, when we land when we alight and also when we take flight, obstacles are placed in our way each and every day

In many ways we have two homes, one in the north and one in the south

But we like you, have mouths to feed

And feed them we will

Some of us will stand at the top of the hill, and look down and wonder

Some of us will sit at the bottom of the hill, and look up and wonder

Can I make it, can I go through all this for not

Or have I brought calamity to all

Possibility

We the Geese of the Land want you to understand, all those who migrate look for possibility, look for safety

Allow them to land, allow yourself to gain a new understanding

For they are landing in foreign soil, but are they

This is the soil of Mother Earth; she spreads her wealth far and wide

So, from this side to the next, that soil is the same

The countries may have a different name, but the Earth does not

It remains the same, Mother Earth

Your Heart

Flap and sing, stomp your feet

Do you recognize the beat, it’s an Ancient One

It’s called your heart, it’s international

Allow it to blend

Allow it to blend with another, so they will discover you mean well

We are together more than you think

Open the door allow the migrations through

For they have so much to share with you

Much In Common

You are not aware of it yet, but the message is clear, we are all here for a purpose

So, know your purpose join the Clan

What Clan do you say upon this day, this is the Mother Earth Clan

Do you understand, you are all citizens of Mother Earth

Therefore, you have much in common
