Many More of Us Than You
We slither, we slide, we hide in the crevices
We hop, we jump, we disappear in a clump
We scurry, we hurry, we skit, we skat
We are trapped
We seek the shadows darker and yet, we expect to see you
soon
For your shadow takes out the Light
In spite of our difference in size, we will surmise there
are many more of us that you
Reputation
We come in your presence, we crawl on your arm
The Sound of us is not like a charm
We hum, we buzz, we sing
Some of us carry a reputation you do not care for
Precarious
We are small, we are large
And in most cases, we are in charge of our domain
But just the same if we wander out of our domain into yours
just the same, that lane is rather precarious
For many of you when you see us, you say simply eww, go
away
Do not come back upon this day
Just Like You
We come in a variety of colours, but many of them dark
And most times when you see us, you embark on sending us
on our way
Unless of course we display a sense of beauty, we display
a sense of joy
Only then will you employ a second thought
We were brought here for a purpose
Just like you
Look Different
Many of us prefer the dark
But some of us embark out into the Light
In spite of the Light, our exposure is great
That is why many of us in the Light move quickly, or
gravitate together
For we know danger is near, for we truly hear
It would appear many of the senses you carry, we do also
The only thing is they look different
Hurry
We vibrate, we flutter, we scurry
Many of us are in a hurry
There are times we commune together
Smile
Quite your mind, sit awhile
Listen intently, smile
Communication Device
We too communicate through to you
You often consider the flutter, the buzz
Or the song as strictly belonging to us, as a communication
device to us
My dears we the Insects of the Land, want you to understand,
there is more to that sound than you realize
We too communicate through, to you
Most of you just don’t realize its intent
Messages are sent minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day
We are here to say it is not through lack of trying, it is
through not only your ability to not only listen, but glean the possibility
of an understanding
Now if the understanding is not landing in your knowledge
base, be aware we also share information through telepathic sources
Resources
We like you, have many resources at our fingertips
Some of them you see visually
Some of them are microscopic and beyond
But they all belong, just like you
Invasive Species
Now many of you may refer to us as Invasive Species, as in
coming from elsewhere
We are here to share with you a thought or two, many of your
kind, will arrive to share with you, things that are unfamiliar to you
You have two choices, along with your voice
You can either learn more about us as an Invasive
Species, or remain ignorant, remain divided
Many Version
This story is not one sided, this story has many versions
And there is a reason for our newbees to be here
Do not fear us, learn about what we have to offer
For we too are beginning to learn to adapt
You too need to learn to adapt, as well
Changes
As Mother Earth changes, as she will
You too need to adapt
We as well
Lighted Zone
Some of us pinch, some of us alight, some of us even bite
Some of us sting, some of us ring
Some of us move toward the Light in flight, we are drawn
to it, we are pulled to it
And then again, some of us produce our own
For we are from the Lighted Zone
We Need to Live
We provide food for others
We eat food others leave behind
And when it comes to some of your kind, we seek out part
of you
We too need to live
Some of us lift you up
Some of us pull you down
Some of us are just around
You get to know the time of year when we all of a sudden
appear
You don’t see us in the cold, for we like you, follow
through to stay warm, to stay cuddled up
Inside Insect Information
We know of the change in temperature, long before you do
We know of the coming storm, long before you do
We send messages through, long before you’re even aware
We share weather information among us
We may not have the World Wide Web, but instead we have the Inside
Insect Information I I I
And try as you might, it is not there to cause you fright
It is there to share
among us, so we can prepare
Well Lived
Our lives may be short, but they are well lived
For we give our all to what we do
And when the shoe fits, we wear it
Will Others See You
How about you, do you give your all to what you do
Or do you even like what you do
Do you declare upon a stair, that you want to share, what
causes you despair
Or do you declare upon a stair, that you surely do not want
to share
For if you declare who is you, will others see you
Or will they ask you to hide away and share not
Role
Do you want to brought into the forefront, or do you want to
be hiding in the shadows, where you are secure, where you know who you
are
We the Insects of the Land want you to understand, we get
it
Each one of us has our own role
We understand that role and we make it our goal to fulfill
that role
Share What You Have Learned
You on the other hand, many of your plans may fall flat on
your face
And do you trace that misunderstanding as a fault of yours, or
do you learn from it
We the Insects of the Land want you to understand making
mistakes is part of life
We suggest to all of you, embrace your mistakes, learn
from them
And if you choose to, share what you have learned
So that way when others attempt to discern which is the
right way to go, you can show them your path, show them your wisdom
For the wisdom of another can help another to discover what
might work, for them
Reality
We the Insects of the Land want you to understand, it is
not what you look like, it is not your voice of choice
But rather it is what you do with what you have
Many of you have much, but you don’t see it as such
For all you see is other people’s reality, as something
to achieve
But we the Insects of the Land want you to understand, that
is their reality not yours
You Have so Much to Offer
If a mosquito wanted to be a bug, or bug wanted to be a
mosquito, great changes would be needed
And their transformation would not likely succeed, in any
shape or form
So don’t stand there feeling forlorn, feeling lost
At the cost of standing out, at the cost of being alone in
the Light, we the Insects of the Land want you to understand, you have so much
to offer, just as you are
The Importance of You
So be an insect for a change
Rearrange your life, skitter, scurry and hide in the
shadows, and then again peek around the corner see if anyone’s
watching
And when you see the coast is clear, steer in that direction
For my dears, we the Insects of the Land want you to
understand, the importance of you is just that, the importance of you
So be you, celebrate you
Make mistakes, learn from them, and share
Journey
And declare you are on a journey, you do not know the end
result
There will be valleys, there will be mountains
There will be open plains
There will be highs, there will be lows, there will be in
between times
There will aha moments, there will be where did that idea
come from
There will be times for quiet, times for peace
There will be times where you need to release
Release
Release what you may ask, release that build up of
energy, release that anger within
There will be times for sorrow, there will be time for dance
There will be time for song, there will be time for dance
And there will be time to enhance your surroundings,
paint a picture, change the furniture
Or enhance an article of clothing
Yes, my dears we the Insects of the Land want you to
understand, enhancing one small simple thing
Can help your heart to sing
Allow it to sing that familiar ring of joy
