You Are the Earth

We Feel so Much Through Our Touch

Stretch, reach, touch

As we stretch, as we reach, as we touch, we feel so much through our touch

The scent is nearby, as well

Our shell may be enormous, our shell may be vast

But we are cast in a different Light

For in spite of our size, it is our eyes, it is our sense of touch

Where we learn so much beyond our size

For the touch of the feet, the touch of the nose, truly exposes what we’re meant to know

For as we go over the surface of the ground, some of you listen for our sound, the sound of us running across the plain

And just the same, you listen to our calls, you listen to our trumpeting

 

Parents

We are family borne; we are family bound

And we as parents, listen to the sound of our younger ones

They too communicate through touch

 

Eyes Tell Much

For those of you, human folk who choose to reach out and touch us, you are in for a surprise

Our eyes tell much, our skin not so much

For we may be able to communicate or receive communication through our touch, but when you touch us, you feel not much

Perhaps it is your fear, perhaps it is your withdrawal

 

Trusting

For as you place your hand across our leathery skin, you feel you might begin to understand our texture, to understand our ways

We are here to say, if you want to learn this way, you must be patient, you must be trusting

For we the Elephants of the Land want you to understand, we too want to communicate with you

But in order for this communication to take place, we are here to grace you with a thought or two

 

Feel the Sound

Like you, when you walk barefoot on the ground, we too feel the sound of Mother Earth

Therefore, my dears when you appear in rubber soled shoes, and you choose to touch our leathery skin, you may be in for a surprise

If you want to truly understand us beyond our size, take your shoes off, place you skin upon the skin of the Earth

And only then, will you be birthed to the communication that will come through

For we like Mother Earth are there for you

So, let’s review, if you are to receive and understand what is coming through us, in the form of communication, you must relieve yourself of the blocking shoes you wear

 

Individuals

Our size to you comes as a surprise, for those of you who have never met us up close, feel you cannot do what you must do, to understand us completely

For our shell is just that

We will not dwell on the shell any longer, for you must understand each and every one of us are individuals upon this Land, some of us are shy, some of us are robust

Some of us are you can trust, some of us not so much

Yes, my dears we the Elephants of the Land, want to make it perfectly clear, we are individuals beyond our size

So, look at us within our eyes and see beyond our size, for size matters not

You’ve been in our presence for a purpose

 

Understand the Beginning

And this purpose is to understand the beginning

For within us is deep wisdom, deep sorrow

For when it comes to tomorrow, many of us will be gone

We’re hoping for the dawn of a new understanding, we are hoping for the dawn of a new day

For we the Elephants of the Land are here to say, there is more to us than meets your eye

 

Linked

The Sky People know why, the Earthen Spirits do too

The Standing Ones know of our presence, the Stone People as well

The Creepy Crawlers, the Winged Ones, we all stand hand in hand linked

For we want you Human Folk to understand, we rely on each other, you need to know it is true

For if you choose to eradicate one of us, it affects the All

 

Ripple Effect

So, we the Elephants of the Land, want you to understand every action you take, there’s a ripple effect

So, choose your action carefully

And know that an action does not have to be a physical movement, does not have to be a physical stance

 

Olive Branch

Know that you action could be holding out an Olive Branch

Your action that demonstrates care, many people share

Those of you who like to act anonymously, your voice is also heard

For we are one species, in one large Herd

 

Herd

And you too are a part of that Herd

Each individual that is a part of the Herd, rely on the one next to you

Some of you find the water all are looking for, some of you find the food all are looking for, some of you look for a safe place to stay, some of you find the direction, find the way, some of you crawl to surface, some of you dig deep down in the ground, some of you move together when you hear a threatening sound, some of you open your hearts to another, some of you uncover knowledge you never knew before, some of you listen, find out another’s score, some of you cry out in the night, some of you express great delight, some of you share a warm embrace, some of you trace another’s face in the sand, some of you look out at the view, some of you turn away from the view, some of you stand on the grand stand and say what you have to say, some of you delay what you have to say and bury it deep, some of you are steeped in troubles, and see not where you go, some of you show who you are, some of you open the door a crack, some of you prepare for an attack, some of you reach out your hand to another, some of you push another away, some of you say what you think others want to hear, some of you make it clear where you stand today and always

 

Choose Today

We the Elephants of the Land want you all to understand, whether your shell is large, whether your shell is small, we are here to call on each and every one of you

You all have a role to play

So, choose today act that role, choose today be that role

 

The Plan

We the Elephants of the Land want you to understand, we are in tune with the Land, we listen to the Land, we understand the Land, we know the plan that the Land has for us

You too are privy to this information

But you need to quiet your mind, if you are ever to be so inclined to understand what is coming through for you

 

Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter, ding, ding

 

A Part of You

Stomp your feet, settle it down lightly

Caress the top of the Earth

Roll in it, expose your skin to it

Let the Earth become a part of you

Let’s review, let the Earth become a part of you

With the Earth within you, you too are the Earth

You are One

You belong to each other, you are each other

So now that you know our secret, now that you know our plan, now do you understand, you are the Earth, we are too

That is why we all have a responsibility to each other

What you do to one, you do to the other

What you give to one, you give to the other

How you think of one, you think to the other

 

Wired Together

You are wired together, you are in sync

So, think that thought, be that thought

That is why you have been brought here today
